Academic and Creative Enrichment for Students
Academic & Creative Enrichment for Students, or ACES, is the district-wide branding of our gifted program within the Santa Rosa County School system. ACES is offered at all elementary and middle schools in the district, taking on its own shape at each site. All of our ACES teachers in Santa Rosa County are fully certified to teach gifted education, and each individual brings experience, various talents and diverse backgrounds to the classroom. We are a team that supports and collaborates to bring the students and families of Santa Rosa County a world-class education.

Our MissionSimply put, our mission is to nurture, challenge and inspire young learners to dream big and reach their full potential. We build knowledge and develop skills in emerging talent areas. We accelerate and deepen those areas throughout the student's time at WNIS. We offer a variety of enriching activities and adventures and strive to know the whole child so we can best meet their needs.

Here at WNISWe do several things that make our ACES program unique. First, approximately 50 students are currently enrolled in ACES at WNIS. Mrs. Elizabeth Baer is the Gifted Teacher and this will be her 12 year teaching at WNIS and her 9th year teaching gifted students. Students are pulled out once a week for enrichment. Our students are immersed in projects that are high in the 4 C's: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.
